Deleted something by mistake? Restore it from the recycle bin

Everyone deletes the wrong thing sometimes. In SpendixAI a deleted transaction goes to a recycle bin first, so you can bring it back.

How it works

• Deleting a transaction moves it to the recycle bin instead of removing it for good.
• Items stay there for 30 days from the day they were deleted.
• The bin shows how many items it holds, their total value and which ones are close to the end of the window.
• Restoring puts a transaction back where it was, with its category and account.

Bulk deletes are covered too

Workspace owners can clear all transactions in an account or delete a date range from Settings, Data and privacy. Categories, accounts, budgets and rules are kept, and the deleted transactions can be restored from the recycle bin.

After 30 days

Once the window passes, items are removed permanently. If you meant to keep something, restore it before then.

Delete with care

1. Check the date range before confirming a range delete.
2. If you are unsure, export your data first from Settings.
3. Look in the recycle bin as soon as you notice a missing transaction.

Deleting the whole workspace is different. It is scheduled with a 7-day wait that the owner can cancel, and after that it is permanent.
